'I enjoyed being able to share experiences with others. It felt daunting at first, but it became the part of the course I enjoyed the most. I also liked how we were encouraged to think about ourselves as headteachers and the vision and ethos we would like to lead and develop. I wasn't certain I wanted to be a headteacher, but the delivery was really inspiring and made me want to pursue it. '
All our face to face sessions are virtual and take place after school, all other learning is self-directed and can be completed in your own time. We encourage school leaders to provide some time for professional development but this can be arranged flexibly.
There are many courses available to middle and senior leaders, such as NPQML or NPQSL. These can cost up to £1000 per participant. Our comprehensive course is better value and it also looks at leadership through the lens of the Church of England's Vision for Education.
This is a reflective course, so your starting point doesn't matter. It designed to support all participants by being part of a learning community who grow together. You will have opportunity to share best practice as well as the highs and lows of your role. Previous participants have said how much they gain from working with colleagues from across the wide region the diocese covers.
